VALU Class thrives on community collaboration by developing a dedicated group of civic leaders who understand key issues facing our communities.  Each participant will be committed to cultivating the county's future through personal involvement and a willingness to serve.  The main purpose of the program is to provide people with a greater understanding of county operations, businesses and services in the county.

COURSE HIGHLIGHTS

Each monthly course will bring the participants to public and private facilities, in various industries. Some of the types of industries that students may visit include but are not limited to industrial/manufacturing, county management and administration, law enforcement/emergency services, healthcare, agriculture/food processing, health and human services, education, museums and tourism, entertainment, food service, waste management,  transportation and logistics.
