A total solar eclipse will occur on April 8, 2024 at around 3pm. St Marys and Auglaize county are in the area of totality or best viewing areas. We expect tourism to be high.

The last total solar eclipse in Ohio was in 1806. There have only been 15 eclipses viewable in the United States since 1867.

The last eclipse took place in Kentucky in 2017. This eclipse will be the last one in Ohio until September 14, 2099.

Only 21 total solar eclipses have occurred the lower 48 states in the entire existence of the United States!!!!
